Here's the acapella of my most recent track: Depth of Field, with no reverb; just the multitracking layers. Please remix it and use it for whatever shenanigans you want, then message me with what you do! Looking forward to hearing creators being creative

I think we don't fully realize the impact of our decisions until they've already happened. Many of you know that I recently attempted to move away from home; not many of you know that it didn't work at all, and I ended up coming right back to Colorado. I learned a lot from the experience, mostly about how much I miss all of my friends and loved ones when they're too far away.
This song is about someone in particular who was very hard to say goodbye to, and the dilemma that I faced when I came home. Saying goodbye can be sad and upsetting, but sometimes saying hello again can be just as hard.
lyrics
Lyrics:
I'm not any good with emotions
It's easier to just pretend
But you're tearing me open
The truth is pouring out again
And I smile cause I mean it
So when the water comes between us
As you look upon the ocean
I'll be looking back
How do you feel?
Depth of field
How do you feel?
Depth of field
You're too close and I can't focus
You're too distant it's a blur
You're too close and I can't focus
You're too far away
I'm in the car, all alone again
The road rises up to guide my stress
Am I a martyr or an idiot?
It doesn't matter, I guess
Just know that when you're coming home again
I'll be waiting with a camera lens
To capture every single sentiment
I won't forget this
How do you feel?
Depth of field
How do you feel?
Depth of field
You're too close and I can't focus
You're too distant it's a blur
You're too close and I can't focus
You're too far away
